Kiki Loveday is an experimental mixed-media artist obsessed with deconstructing (and reconstructing) cinematic conventions: rethinking genre, mixing mediums, and practicing alternative production paradigms.
Kiki’s creative work has been presented in galleries, festivals, and microcinemas and can be found on ArtFem.TV. Her ongoing project, What You Love, was recently on view in COLLECTION/S at The Huntington Library’s Scott Galleries of American Art.
She has spent five years teaching in the undergraduate film and television program at Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, where she co-founded The Women in the Director’s Chair Oral History Project. Kiki is currently completing a mixed media dissertation Saphic Cinemania! Female Authorship, Queer Desires, and the Birth of Cinema (1896-1931) under the direction of Shelley Stamp at University of California Santa Cruz.
